EATFISH Workshop 3 “Governance” in Cork

“Governance” will be the topic of the second EATFISH Workshop to be held in Cork (Ireland) from March 5th to March 8th. EATFISH students will explore different aspects related to aquaculture governance, such as marine law, maritime spatial planning, licencing and environmental risk and impact assessment.

In addition, we will visit the National Seafood Centre in Clonakilty. The facility serves as a “one-stop shop” for the seafood-related functions of the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, the Sea Fisheries Protection Authority and is dedicated to the development of new, high-value seafood products.

Teachers involved: Dr. Anne Marie O’Hagan (UCC), Prof. Trevor Telfer (University of Stirling), Dr. Julie Maguire (BMRS).
